Linda Frances Wahl, 81, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., daughter of the late Arthur and Caroline Frances (Wolf) Borkhuis, was born on June 29, 1927, in Rochester, NY, and died Feb. 11, 2009, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark.

Linda was united in marriage to Robert Louis Wahl on Aug. 10, 1945, in Fairport, NY. She spent her working years as a loan officer for a bank. Linda was an active member of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Horseshoe Bend, Ark.

She is survived by: two sons, Roger Wahl and wife Megan of Rochester, NY, and Neil Wahl and wife Debby of Macedon, NY; one daughter, Lorraine Forget and fiancé David Eaves of Spearfish, SD; one brother, Edgar Borkhuis and wife June of Webster, NY; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Funeral services were held Feb. 14 at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Horseshoe Bend, with Pastor David Tews officiating. Interment was in the Violet Hill Cemetery, at Violet Hill under the direction of Barker Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel. Pallbearers were church members.
